The Class or Builder Option

The Class or Builder field is used to provide a description of the class of the subject, or the name of the Builder. This may take the form of a name e.g. "Black 5" or "Brit", or a surname such as "Ivatt" or "Bulleid". Other possible entries in this field could be the power classification e.g. "4MT" or the SR multiple unit descriptor e.g. "4-VEP". Unlike the Country, Operator and Item fields, you may enter a search criterion which might form only part of the field. For example, to find all images held of locomotives of the "Clan" class, enter "Clan".
